The purpose of the Austrian Israeli Chamber of Commerce is to promote commercial relations between Israel and Austria in both directions.
Since its foundation in 1991, the AICC has focused on networking and lobbying with the intent of making the national economics of both countries more accessible to each other and creating awareness of the business location Israel.
To this end, the AICC links together Austrian and Israeli companies, organisations and authorities as well as organises events such as lectures, conventions, discussion groups and informal gatherings. Alongside its business objectives, the AICC also views itself as an incubator of cultural exchange between both countries, having organised amongst others the Austrian Culture Days in Tel-Aviv (May 2013).
The non-profit chamber pursues no political objectives and doesn’t engage in commercial transactions. With official notification from the Federal Ministry of Finance from December 12th 1991, the AICC is authorised to bear the designation “Chamber of Commerce” according to § 33 HKG (Chamber of Commerce Law).
